TMP supporter Motilal Karmakar dies after lathi-charge; BJP wins 668 seats in Tripura
A Tipra Motha Party (TMP) supporter, Motilal Karmakar, died Monday after being critically injured during a lathi-charge outside a counting centre in Khowai district. Tensions escalated in Sepahijala where an Inspector General of Police (Law and Order) Manchak Ippar's vehicle was allegedly attacked. The TMP won 3,177 seats, while the BJP won 668, IPFT secured 20, CPI(M) bagged 60, Congress secured 10, and Independents won 143 of 4,078 declared seats.
Eggs and bricks pelt Manik Sarkar's convoy as protests rage in Tripura
