Sharan Prakash R. Patil, Karnataka Legislative Assembly Chief (Opposition), and Doddanagouda H. Patil, Kushtagi MLA, raised concerns about drought-like conditions and water shortages in the Koppal district. The Minister directed officials to prepare contingency plans for potential drinking water shortages, generate employment opportunities if agricultural activities are affected, and ensure adequate seed and fertilizer stocks. Basavaraj Rayareddi, Yelburga MLA, also highlighted water problems in Yelburga and Kukanoor taluks, while urging the district administration to address these issues promptly.
