Pralhad Joshi promises to submit farmers' demands for higher sugarcane MSP and ethanol procurement
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi met farmers’ leaders in Hubballi from midnight October 18 to 3 a.m. October 19 at the Government Guest House. Representative Chunappa Pujeri demanded higher sugarcane MSP, ethanol procurement, and separate commercial sugar pricing. Joshi promised to submit these demands to a committee starting in three days. Kerala government establishes AgriStack Commissionerate under State Agriculture department
The Keralam government issued an October 13 order establishing an ‘AgriStack Commissionerate’ under the State Agriculture department. The Director, Agriculture will serve as AgriStack Commissioner. This initiative, implemented by the Union Agriculture Ministry under the Digital Agriculture Mission, includes three registries. In July, a 11-member State AgriStack Data Governance Committee (SADGC) was created to handle farm sector data.
Tomato growers blocked Rayachoti-Madanapalle highway demanding procurement centre and support prices
