Shivraj Chouhan assures seamless shift to VB-G RAM G; Kharge raises questions on MGNREGA dues

Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated that the Centre has completed preparations for the nationwide rollout of the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025, ensuring no eligible rural worker remains without work. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge questioned the government's handling of pending dues under the predecessor Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) and raised concerns about the revised funding pattern and the "blackout" provision, arguing that it negatively impacts rural livelihoods.
