VB-G RAM G bill is in country's interest, those who stole MGNREGA funds are unhappy: Scindia
Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Minister, defended the Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Bill, stating it benefits farmers and youth by increasing employment. He argued that the new legislation provides more than ₹1 lakh crore compared to the previous MNREGA scheme's allocation of only ₹10,000 crore. Rahul Gandhi, Opposition leader, criticized the bill, accusing the government of removing Mahatma Gandhi's name from the MGNREGA scheme and placing financial burden on states. The bill was passed by Parliament with a voice vote after strong protests.
