Mamata Banerjee, the Trinamool Congress chairperson, alleged that hospitals were pressured not to admit her nephew, who suffered injuries during the attack. The incident has sparked accusations of political violence from both sides. BJP leaders condemned the attacks but also claimed they reflected public anger towards the Trinamool Congress.
