Karachi's Shahrah-i-Bhutto to be fully open to public by end of May: Sharjeel Memon - Pakistan
Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon announced the full opening of the Shahrah-i-Bhutto Expressway in Karachi by the end of May, a 39-kilometer high-speed corridor that will connect to the M-9 highway. Memon stated the project is expected to save commuters at least an hour traveling into the city and improve traffic flow. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had previously directed for full operationalization by April 2026. Additionally, Memon announced a new road connecting Karachi Port with the Taj Haider Bridge, which will be completed around the same time as the expressway's opening. Memon highlighted that these projects are part of a larger effort to improve connectivity and convenience in Karachi.
