India, Vietnam elevate ties to enhanced comprehensive strategic partnership; set $25 billion trade target

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vietnamese President To Lam elevated their bilateral ties to an enhanced comprehensive strategic partnership, setting a $25 billion annual trade target by 2030. The two leaders signed 13 agreements covering areas such as digital payments, rare earth minerals, pharmaceuticals, education, banking, and culture. They also discussed the Indo-Pacific region amid China's growing assertiveness in the South China Sea, agreeing to continue contributing to peace, stability, and prosperity. Modi highlighted India's gratitude for Vietnam's condemnation of the Pahalgam terrorist attack and its support in combating terrorism.
