
Samyukt Kisan Morcha to meet CMs, Opposition leaders against U.S. deal in fight for federal rights
The Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), a coalition of farm groups, is demanding the cancellation of the India-United States trade agreement and has launched a campaign to protect state rights. The SKM leaders met with Chief Ministers and Opposition leaders in New Delhi to submit a memorandum outlining their demands, including repealing certain laws and urging the government to withdraw a letter asking states to end wheat and paddy bonus payments. They also called for the repeal of the VB-GRAMG Act 2025 and restoration of the MGNREG Act, among other measures.
