BJP deliberately annihilated MGNREGS, alleges Sharmila

APCC president Y.S. Sharmila led protests against the replacement of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) with Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB–G RAM G), alleging that villagers are not receiving timely wages or being provided the full 100 days of work. Sharmila claims this is a deliberate attempt by the BJP to abolish the MGNREGS, which she credits for contributing to rural development in Andhra Pradesh.
