The Supreme Court ordered the Election Commission of India (ECI) to publish a list of individuals who have received notices for "logical discrepancies" during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in West Bengal. The Trinamool Congress (TMC) welcomed this decision, calling it a victory for the people and a blow to the BJP-ECI combine. The TMC general secretary, Abhishek Banerjee, stated that the Supreme Court's ruling exposes the BJP's attempt to suppress voting rights in Bengal and that he will defeat them both legally and politically in the upcoming Assembly election.
