ECI illegally using mobile apps developed by BJP’s IT cell to conduct SIR, alleges Mamata

Mamata Banerjee, West Bengal Chief Minister, accused the Election Commission of India (ECI) of using mobile applications developed by the BJP’s IT cell to conduct the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. She alleged that the ECI is marking eligible voters as "dead" and forcing elderly, ill, and indisposed individuals to attend hearings. Ms. Banerjee also claimed these actions are illegal, unconstitutional, and undemocratic, urging citizens to be cautious during SIR participation and support those facing difficulties due to the exercise.
