On the first day of Parliament after student protests ended, the Opposition signaled continued criticism of Home Minister Amit Shah over police use of pellet guns. Samajwadi Party’s Dharmendra Yadav pushed for a debate on the Ram Temple donation theft case, while others favored focusing on education issues and police brutality incidents. The Opposition decided to highlight these instances during the debate and coordinate strategies beyond Parliament. Revolutionary Socialist Party MP N.K. Premachandran criticized the Bill as ineffective, while DMK leader Tiruchi Siva advocated for scrapping NEET and participating in the debate. Seven hours were allotted for discussions on the Bill in both Houses.
