Former Bihar Minister Tej Pratap Yadav Arrested Over NEET Protests
On July 25, Tej Pratap Yadav, former Bihar Minister and Janshakti Janata Dal chief, was arrested from a mall in Patna for allegedly escalating NEET paper leak protests that led to property damage. He was produced before the judicial magistrate court on July 26 and sent to Beur Central Jail. His lawyer Jagannath Singh claimed the arrest happened a day before an FIR was registered and said he would seek bail on July 27. Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor alleged that Yadav's arrest was politically motivated by the BJP.
