MLA Sandeep Saurav Arrested for Allegedly Inciting Violence in NEET Protests
Allegations of MLA inciting violence during protests raise concerns about abuse of power.
Two days after violent protests in Bihar's Patna over the NEET paper leak, Sandeep Saurav, CPI(ML) Liberation MLA and AISA participant, was arrested on Friday for allegedly inciting violence. BJP leaders were assaulted, and their vehicles damaged during Wednesday’s protests. NDA legislators accused Saurav of instigating protesters. On Thursday, agitators in Jehanabad, Darbhanga, Katihar, Begusarai, and other districts threw stones at police, breached barricades, and vandalized government properties. More than 114 protesters were apprehended on Thursday, with 32 more arrested on Friday.
