Sonam Wangchuk, a 59-year-old activist from Ladakh, began an indefinite hunger strike on July 18 at Delhi's Jantar Mantar over the NEET paper leak, entering his 27th day in Medanta Hospital. His family is deeply concerned about his deteriorating health. On July 21, he was shifted to Medanta under court orders after being hospitalized from Safdarjung Hospital due to declining health. Wangchuk demands government assurance against legal action on protesting students and will end his strike only if this demand is met.
