On Wednesday, Bengaluru police detained Congress workers protesting outside BJP’s State headquarters in Malleswaram and later also detained BJP leader R. Ashok and other BJP workers during a counter-protest at the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee office on Queen's Road, citing High Court restrictions. Congress protesters held placards, raised slogans against PM Narendra Modi over NEET irregularities and police actions, while BJP alleged an attack with eggs and iron rods. Both groups were taken to the High Grounds police station and later released. Security was tightened around both offices following the incidents.
