On Tuesday, Maharashtra legislator Sadabhau Khot sparked controversy by calling protesters from the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) "terrorists" after they marched towards Parliament in Delhi over alleged NEET paper leaks. Opposition leaders and even a Maharashtra government member criticized Khot's remarks. Khot defended the government’s stance, saying investigations were ongoing and demanding Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation was baseless. He accused opposition parties of spreading falsehoods and creating anti-government sentiment. Maharashtra Cabinet colleague Shambhuraj Desai disagreed, stating protesters cannot be labeled as terrorists in a democracy.
