Thousands protest NEET(UG) leaks, demand Education Minister's resignation in Delhi
On July 20, 2026, thousands of protesters, mostly students and young people, gathered around Jantar Mantar in Delhi to march towards Parliament demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over NEET(UG) exam leaks. Despite police deployment and barricades, they reached Parliament, leading to tear gas use and baton charges. Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) led the protest after activist Sonam Wangchuk was removed from a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar. Health Minister J.P. Nadda met with CJP members in an attempt to resolve the situation, while senior government officials held meetings inside Parliament regarding the protests and exam leaks.
