
Police Detain 170 Protesters Supporting Sonam Wangchuk in Ahmedabad
On Monday, police detained several people from two protest sites in Ahmedabad—Ellisbridge and Sarangpur—in support of activist Sonam Wangchuk and the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). At Ellisbridge, about 100 protesters were taken to police stations like Sarkhej and Paldi; at Sarangpur, around 70-80 were held at a football ground. Protesters demanded Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation and education reforms. Advocate Subodh Parmar and Rakesh Maheria led the protests.
