
Cockroach Janta Party Demands Modi Resign Over Activist Detention
Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke accused the Centre of suppressing a peaceful movement and alleged that activist Sonam Wangchuk was illegally detained by Delhi Police on July 18, 2026. The party broadened its demand from Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resignation due to what they perceived as an inadequate government response. Dipke vowed to continue protests and a hunger strike until Wangchuk is released.
