Sonam Wangchuk, a 59-year-old Indian activist, has been on an indefinite hunger strike in Delhi since June 29 to demand educational reforms and the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. On Monday, he had lost 8.2kg (18lb), with serious health concerns. Despite appeals from supporters and doctors, Wangchuk remains steadfast. The protest is led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar.
