
Gross errors in SIR exercise conducted by ECI so far in West Bengal: Mamata
Mamata Banerjee, West Bengal Chief Minister, criticized the Election Commission of India for alleged errors in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. She accused the ECI of appointing observers without informing the state government and claimed they are working to benefit the BJP. Banerjee also asserted that central officers appointed as micro-observers lack local language proficiency and are unfit to conduct verifications during the second phase of the revision process.
