Sonam Wangchuk, an activist on hunger strike, saw his health deteriorate with low blood sugar and pressure. Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), warned that the government would be responsible if anything happened to him. The CJP is demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan while alleging police assault on students attempting to set up a library at the protest site. The agitation has gained support from various political leaders and civil society members including Dipankar Bhattacharya, Nikhil Dey, and M.A. Baby.
