Jantar Mantar turns hunger strike junction

Sonam Wangchuk, an activist, began a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar demanding the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Education Minister. Six students from the All India Students’ Association (AISA), a student wing of the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist), joined him on the fourth day. The protesters, including nine individuals who joined later, are protesting against irregularities in the CBSE examination and recurrent leaks in competitive exams. They have been staying at Jantar Mantar for four days with varying degrees of hunger and discomfort.
