Sonam Wangchuk, an environmentalist and educator, began a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar on Sunday (June 28, 2026) demanding the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Education Minister. The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), led by Abhijeet Dipke, has been protesting since June 20th, citing multiple irregularities in the examination system.
