MLA reviews drinking water situation at Saradagi barrage, assures uninterrupted supply to Kalaburagi
Kalaburagi South MLA, Allamprabhu Patil visited the Saradagi bridge-cum-barrage to assess water supply measures amid concerns over drinking water availability due to delayed monsoon. He was accompanied by Mayor Varsha Rajeev Jane, Deputy Mayor Tripti Lakhe, and other officials who inspected available water storage and ongoing improvement works at the barrage. The state government has released 0.5 TMC ft. of water from the Narayanpur reservoir to address the crisis, with further relief expected from the fresh release by Sunday or Monday. Mr. Patil also highlighted a proposed ₹1,850 crore project for a direct pipeline from Narayanpur to Saradagi and ongoing modernization efforts at the barrage.
