CJP presses for Pradhan’s resignation at second Jantar Mantar protest
Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), returned to the Capital after protests in six cities and held a second demonstration at Jantar Mantar. The police moved to evacuate the venue after the permitted 5 p.m. deadline, but Mr. Dipke vowed to continue the agitation until Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns. Despite the police's decision not to extend the protest time, crowds remained and Mr. Dipke alleged a "human rights violation" regarding water access.
