Telangana CM urges Kishan Reddy to intervene in stalled Hyderabad Metro Rail take over loan

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy appealed to Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy to expedite the disbursement of the sanctioned IRFC loan for the takeover of Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) Phase I from L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad (L&TMRH). He urged Mr. Kishan Reddy to take up the matter with IRFC and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, ensuring the release of funds despite the government fulfilling all conditions stipulated by the lender. The Chief Minister highlighted that the state has provided sovereign-level repayment safeguards, including a Direct Debit Mechanism through the RBI, and deposited substantial equity into an escrow account.
