Abhishek Banerjee, Trinamool Congress national general secretary, was questioned for over 11 hours by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a primary school recruitment scam. The ED focused on tracing the money trail and inconsistencies in earlier submissions. Banerjee also faced questioning from the state CID regarding alleged forgery of MLAs' signatures related to the appointment of the Leader of Opposition. He claimed these actions are attempts to destroy opposition forces.
