Mamata rejigs TMC's youth, women wings; removes Saayoni, Mala Roy from key positions

Mamata Banerjee has removed Saayoni Ghosh from her youth wing president position and replaced her with Arnab Banerjee, while also replacing Mala Roy as the president of the Trinamool Mahila Congress with Alifa Ahmed. These changes follow a recent mutiny by party legislators in the West Bengal assembly, which led to the dissolution of all former committees and frontal organisations. The dissidents are seeking recognition as the "real TMC" and have stated they will meet Speaker Om Birla on June 15th to present their demands. Sudip Bandyopadhyay is also alleged to be joining the rebel camp, with 20 out of 28 Lok Sabha members reportedly signing a letter demanding recognition.
