NSUI, Youth Congress workers detained before protesting Dharmendra Pradhan’s visit to Bhopal

Indian Youth Congress (IYC) and National Students Union of India (NSUI) workers were detained in Bhopal on June 13, 2026, as they planned to protest the visit of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The protesters aimed to demonstrate against the NEET question paper leak and discrepancies with the CBSE's On-Screen Marking system. At least 15 workers were taken into custody at the State Congress headquarters by Habibganj police station in-charge Sanjeev Chaukse, who cited intelligence reports about potential disturbances. The detained individuals included NSUI State president Ashutosh Chouksey, IYC State vice-president Abhishek Parmar, and district president Amit Khatri. The M.P. Congress condemned the detentions, calling for an end to the suppression of dissent.
