Sukhendu Sekhar Ray, former TMC Chief Whip in the Rajya Sabha, resigned from his Upper House seat on Monday and praised colleagues who rebelled against Mamata Banerjee and her nephew, Abhishek Banerjee. He clarified that he was unaware of a meeting with other rebels at actor-turned-politician Shatabdi Roy's residence before joining them for 30-40 minutes.
