Rebel TMC MPs siding with BJP, says Kalyan Banerjee
Following a rebellion by 20 Trinamool Congress Lok Sabha members, loyalists of Mamata Banerjee held a press conference in New Delhi, accusing the rebel MPs of siding with the Bharatiya Janata Party. Kalyan Banerjee, Chief Whip of the party in the Lok Sabha, and Kirti Azad addressed the media, questioning the authenticity of the letter by the rebels stating they were creating a separate bloc within the Trinamool Congress to support the BJP-led NDA government. They also criticized the rebel MPs for lacking political morality and abandoning party workers. Several loyalists of Mamata Banerjee expressed their disapproval of the CID search at her residence, questioning its purpose and accusing the rebels of targeting party leaders with the help of the BJP.
