Abhishek Banerjee attack: Video shows Mamata Banerjee berating Belle Vue hospital CEO
Abuse of power by a high-ranking official is being reported casually.
Mamata Banerjee, TMC supremo and former West Bengal chief minister, berated the CEO of Belle Vue hospital, Pradip Tandon, after her nephew and Lok Sabha MP, Abhishek Banerjee, was attacked in Sonarpur. The attack occurred during a visit by Abhishek to meet families of alleged post-poll violence victims. Abhishek claimed that the attack was orchestrated by BJP workers and alleged that he was pressured to be discharged from the hospital despite serious medical conditions. Mamata accused BJP leaders and a senior police officer of pressuring the hospital to discharge Abhishek.
