The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a youth-led satirical political group, had its website taken down on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 9 a.m. Founder Abhijeet Dipke accused the Indian Government of orchestrating the takedown, claiming it was due to the CJP's growing popularity and online movement demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan following the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak. The CJP, formed in response to Chief Justice of India Surya Kant’s controversial “cockroach” remark, rapidly gained traction with over 22 million followers on social media before being blocked by authorities citing national security concerns. Dipke claims his personal accounts were also hacked and he has received death threats. Despite the takedown, the CJP is not yet a registered political party.
