BJP MLA Rathindra Bose to be party's candidate for Speaker's post
The Bharatiya Janata Party in West Bengal has nominated Rathindra Bose, a first-time MLA and chartered accountant, as its candidate for the Speaker of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari urged opposition parties to unanimously elect him. The elections are scheduled for May 15, 2026.
