NEET-UG examination 2026: One suspect arrested from Nashik

The National Testing Agency (NTA) cancelled the NEET-UG examination for 2026 after an alleged paper leak, leading to the arrest of a suspect in Maharashtra. The Rajasthan Police requested the Maharashtra police to detain the individual who was apprehended after changing his appearance. The cancellation has drawn criticism from opposition leaders, including Rohit Pawar, who pointed out that the state government's new law against paper leaks is insufficient and called for stricter action against those involved. A CBI inquiry into the matter has been initiated.
