Harish Rao alleges ₹5,000 cr. scam in HAM roads’ tenders

T. Harish Rao, Deputy Floor Leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), accused the government of a major scam in HAM road tenders issued by the Roads & Buildings and Panchayat Raj departments. He claimed that bids were 25% higher than estimated costs, resulting in a burden of ₹5,000 crore on the state budget. He also alleged that contractors received mobilization advances and that retired officials were involved in awarding tenders.
