
Chandrababu Naidu lays foundation for Google’s ₹1.35 lakh crore AI data centre in Visakhapatnam
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu laid the foundation stone for a 1-Gigawatt Google data center in Tarluvada, Visakhapatnam, marking one of India's largest foreign direct investments. The project will be managed by Google’s subsidiary Raiden Infotech, in partnership with Adani Infra, and is part of a $15 billion investment from Google in the state. The center will offer large-scale data storage and AI cloud infrastructure, and an upcoming subsea cable system will connect Visakhapatnam to several countries. Union Ministers, IT Minister Nara Lokesh, and representatives from Google, Adani Group, and Airtel Nxtra attended the ceremony.
