
Chandrababu Naidu lays foundation for Google’s ₹1.35 lakh crore AI data centre in Visakhapatnam
On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu laid the foundation stone for a Google data center in Tarluvada, Visakhapatnam. The $15 billion investment will create a 1-Gigawatt hyperscale AI data center on 601.4 acres and is expected to generate thousands of jobs. Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw, Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, and Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, along with IT Minister Nara Lokesh and representatives from Google, Adani Infra, and other partners attended the ceremony. The project will be inaugurated in September 2028 and is expected to position Andhra Pradesh as an international data gateway for India.
