Sharjeel Memon, Sindh Senior Minister, confirmed that the Mosamiyat–Numaish section will be re-awarded on an "emergency basis" due to the contractor's failure to meet deadlines despite warnings and attempts to resolve issues related to rate escalation. The project, originally planned for completion by 2023, has faced numerous delays and cost escalations, with the estimated cost now reaching Rs103 billion.
