Women’s reservation was Modi’s ruse to bring in delimitation to defeat DMK: Kharge
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of using the Women’s Reservation Bill as a tactic to defeat the DMK in Tamil Nadu. He stated that the bill was passed jointly by all parties in 2023 and criticized Modi for not implementing it despite having the power to do so. Kharge also claimed that the Delimitation Bill was unrelated to women's reservation and accused Modi of following Manusmriti, which denies power to Shudras and women. He emphasized that the opposition alliance is for democracy, justice, and equality.
