Stalin warns of massive protests against delimitation; Revanth calls for united southern front

Chief Ministers of non-BJP-ruled states, particularly in southern India, are opposing the Union Government’s proposal for delimitation ahead of women's reservation. Tamil Nadu CM M.K. Stalin threatened a massive protest if the proposal affects Southern States and urged a united front against the "pro rata" formula. Telangana CM Revanth Reddy called for a national consensus on seat expansion, proposing a hybrid model that would allocate seats based on population and GSDP. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah warned that even with percentage increases, delimitation would disproportionately benefit large states controlled by the BJP, diminishing the influence of Southern States.
