Secular parties joined DMK alliance to defeat BJP, says CPI State secretary
Mu. Veerapandian, secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI), stated that secular political parties in Tamil Nadu have joined the ruling DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance (SPA) to defeat the BJP in the upcoming Assembly election. He criticized the Election Commission of India for acting in a biased manner and accused the BJP of depriving opposition-ruled states of revenue and crippling state finances. Edappadi K. Palaniswami, Leader of Opposition and AIADMK general secretary, was also criticized by Veerapandian for lacking content in his campaign.
