Assembly Elections LIVE: Trinamool seeks removal of Bhabanipur RO, alleges proximity with BJP's Suvendu Adhikari
The Trinamool Congress (TMC) filed a complaint with the West Bengal Chief Electoral Officer, demanding the removal of the Returning Officer for the Bhabanipur Assembly constituency due to alleged ties to BJP candidate Suvendu Adhikari. The BJP released its list of candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Tamil Nadu. The Congress announced candidates for 27 out of 28 constituencies allotted to it by the DMK. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee accused AIMIM and ISF of instigating a gherao of judicial officers in Malda district, while Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry will hold elections on April 9th.
