Trinamool Congress (TMC) MPs have given notices in both Houses of Parliament to discuss "voter disenfranchisement" following concerns over the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in five states, including West Bengal. Saugata Roy, a senior party leader, submitted an adjournment motion notice in the Lok Sabha while Nadimul Haque and Saket Gokhale did so under Rule 267 in the Rajya Sabha. The move comes as the Opposition criticizes the SIR process, with Mamata Banerjee protesting against it in Kolkata.
