Mamata Banerjee continued her protest at Esplanade in Kolkata against the deletion of names from the electoral roll. She accused the Election Commission (EC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of attempting to suppress voters, while also criticizing Governor R.N. Ravi, who will assume responsibility for West Bengal. Banerjee announced that the entitlement of the Banglar Yuva Sathi scheme would be credited on Saturday.
