West Bengal has seen a significant number of voters under adjudication during the special intensive revision of electoral rolls, with Muslim-dominated districts experiencing the highest concentration. The Chief Electoral Officer reported 60,06,675 cases under adjudication in the final roll published on February 28, 2026. The Trinamool Congress, led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, is protesting the deletion of voters and the addition of those placed under adjudication, alleging a pre-determined target for voter removal. The party also highlighted the case of cricketer Richa Ghosh, who has been placed under adjudication in the final electoral rolls.
