Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurates CBG plant at Brahmapuram

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated a 150-tonne compressed biogas (CBG)-based waste treatment plant in Kochi, funded by BPCL Kochi Refinery. The facility is the first of its kind in the state and can generate significant amounts of CBG and organic manure daily. The project was lauded by Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Suresh Gopi, who also acknowledged the contributions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Mr. Vijayan expressed confidence that similar plants would be established in other parts of the state, further advancing waste management efforts.
